#LeaguesCup2026: Austin FC to Face Puebla, Tijuana, and América in Debut
Schedule of Matches
The Leagues Cup has announced the full schedule for the 2026 tournament, including the opponents and dates for Austin FC’s three Phase One matches. The Verde & Black will face LIGA MX teams Club Tijuana, Club Puebla, and Club América in their first-ever encounters.
These matches are scheduled for Thursday, August 6 against Club Tijuana, Sunday, August 9 versus Club Puebla, and Thursday, August 13 against Club América. Kickoff times will be announced shortly.
Ticket Information
Austin FC Season Ticket Members receive tickets to the matches vs. Puebla and Club América as a benefit of their membership, and are automatically opted in for the match vs. Tijuana with the option to opt out. Waitlist Members will have access to a ticket presale at 10:00 AM CT on March 24.
Tickets go on sale to the public at 10:00 AM CT on March 25 on austinfc.com and q2stadium.com.
Tournament Format
Sanctioned by Concacaf, Leagues Cup 2026 will feature 36 clubs in total, including all 18 LIGA MX teams and 18 qualifying MLS clubs. The interleague format ensures competition between both leagues at every stage leading into the Semifinals.
The tournament concludes with the Semifinals, Third Place Match, and Leagues Cup Final on September 6. Austin FC’s most recent campaign in 2024 saw victories over Pumas UNAM and CF Monterrey from LIGA MX.
This will be a unique opportunity for Austin FC to face Mexican league clubs and showcase their level of play against top-tier opponents.
